Mr. Freeman:
ReplyDeleteMelinda is such a wonderful girl and I know she has something to say, but why doesn't she speak up. I wish I new. I seriously think something happened to her but she won't speak about it. I can see her becoming a famous artist in the future. I told her she can talk to me anytime. I just hope she does.......

ReplyDeleteGuidance Counselor: "Today I had a meeting with the Principal, a student, which I am not allowed to give out the name of, and his/her parents. I felt really bad for him/her because I understood why she doesn't want to talk, her parents are just so out of control and are more worried about them self then there very own daughter. They certainly have problems of their own that they need to work out with a marriage counselor. He/she is probably so use to people not paying attention to her that she just gave up on talking and sharing things that are on her mind, he/she probably has no one to trust. The bad thing is that I think there is something deep down inside of him/her that needs to come out. You can just see it in him/her eyes. He/she is not just like the other kids in the school with gossip, dating, and other normal teenage drama that goes around, there is something about he/her that he/she is not telling anyone. I know it, and believe me I didn't get a degree to be a guidance counselor for nothing."
ReplyDeleteMr. Freeman
ReplyDeleteOh, Melinda, for her i can see a famous artist. Someone who can put a master piece on a canvas. I do wonder, why she has not spoken about her life, her family, her adventures in life. I wish she would talk to me. I think if she has someone to trust which i can be trust worthy. She will be far more happier. I just hope that soon she will speak and tell what she feels.
Heather: I felt bad about how Mel reacted when I told her we couldn't be friends anymore. I decided to write her a note to saying thanks for understanding. I gave her back the friendship necklace she got me too. Maybe, when she finds a friend, she can give it to them or something...
ReplyDeleteMelinda's Mom: Melinda is throwing away her future! I'm sick of her acting up. At first I thought it was just a phase, but it is getting out of hand. We had to meet with the guidence counsler and the principal, who started blaming my husband and I right away. I don't know whats going on, but it is not MY fault. She was a happy, perky girl, and then one day, things just changed. She just wants attention, but I'm giving her tough love.
Melinda's Dad: What has happened to my poor little girl?! She was so sweet and happy until they brainwashed her at her highschool. I play golf with the school board president. He will be hearing about this!
Guidence Counsler: Poor Melinda. I can tell that her home life is not very good. her parents seem to fight a lot, and she seems scared to ask them anything, probably resulting in her not speaking. I hope that I will be able to help her in some way.
Mr. Freeman- So I had offered Melinda a ride to the mall to meet her mom today, I am gald she took it I have been wanting to talk to her for a while now. Ever since she started to progress in my class. She can do so much with her art she just doesn't see it in her yet. She is a bright young girl and with her talent she can do anything. Even though she may be confused right now how to draw her art in feelings, i know she can do it. She has so much emotion in her that if she just put it on paper her art would be amazing. She is learning but needs to learn faster. She is a baby bird in a nest who needs to fly because the problems in the nest keep building up.
ReplyDeleteGuidance Counselor:
ReplyDeleteToday i had a meeting with a very troubled student and her parents. This student just won't talk about anything, she is silent. Her parents "seem" concerned with her but i think they are having some marriage issues. I hope everything is going to be fine with the poor student and her family. They seem like such nice people and i wish them the best of luck getting through this hard situation.
Guidance Counselor:
ReplyDeleteMelinda is way to troubled for a girl her age. She will not say anything at all. Their must be something deeply wrong with her. Melinda's parents seem nice, but I feel like they aren't that close to their daughter. I doubt they now what is really going on with Melinda. She needs to vent to someone to get better.
David:
ReplyDeleteWhat is Melinda takling about? Thanks for what? i really wish i could keep up with that girl. I dont want her to make me fail this class. I cant fail this class! I want to become a doctor! I wish melinda would just speak to me. who knows her life might be interesting
Melindas Mother:
ReplyDeleteGOD MELINDA! just speak! I want to be a good mother, but she is making this way harder than it needs to be! sometimes i wish we had another daughter, a daughter who can talk about whats going on in there life, adn one that i can go to the mall with and shop together! But i have a quite daughter, a daughter who wont talk about anything, and when ever i buy her something she wants to return it! Pink is her color for sure, i thought!
Mr. Freeman-
ReplyDeleteI offered Melinda a ride today. I did it for a specific reason, because I wanted to talk to her. I never had talked to her, and she finally talked to me. When she talks, she has a lot to say. I see a big future in Melinda. I really do.
Guidance Counselor-
Today we had a meeting with Melinda and her parents. The meeting went okay, but we still didn't get anything out of Melinda. We set up a contract with her, so if she does something bad, she will get consequences. I think some of Melinda problems might be because of her parents. They fight and yell at each other. That could be a lot of stress on a teen. We may need to check in once in a while.
Principle Principle-
The Guidance Counselor and I had a meeting with Melinda and her parents. Melinda's grades and behavior is very strange and not like her. Last year she was a straight A student. Melinda's parents weren't much help in this matter, as they were yelling at Melinda to talk and each other to shut up. I had to step in before Melinda had a mental break-down.
Melinda's Mom-
GOD I CAN'T STAND MELINDA NOT TALKING! She wont say a single word. I just don't get it. What happened to her? When we had that meeting with the principle, she wouldn't say a single word, no matter how much trouble she got in. And when we were talking, she started to giggle. We were talking about her life and future, and shes giggling? Then her dad wasn't helping in that meeting. He made them think that we had marriage problems. I don't know what I'm going to do.
Melinda's Dad-
This **** is getting really annoying. Melinda won't speak a single word. What happened to my sweet little girl? I'm telling my wife, its that school. There is nothing but bad influences there. I don't care if the Guidance Counselor says Melinda has angels for friends, there are other bad influences around every corner at that school. We need to do something about this, and soon.
Guidence Counsler
ReplyDeleteThat melinda girl has some issues. I would love to talk to her so she can open up. The human body cant keep all this stress and problems bottled up inside. Her parents seem to hard on her. pluse her mom was a tad rude towards me.
Mr. Freeman
ReplyDeleteMelinda really needs something to bring whatever is bringing her down out of her. When I gave her a ride to that store, she talked! This is the first time I really had heard her speak a full conversation. I think someone is helping her. She is starting to come around, especially after the suspension. Her picture of the cubist tree is really interesting. I think she is starting to see how Picasso thought. I can see through the class-skipping, school-cutting side of her and see a hard-working talented young girl. I just hope she can get through this phase once and for all.
Mr freeman
ReplyDeleteMelinda is a really talented girl. I wonder why she never speaks? I belie that she has a really talented gift and a love for art. I think she expresses herself through her art work. Melinda has some real good potential.
Malachi
MELINDA'S MOM: That kid gets worse every day! I swear she's gone off into Deppresionville! She won't say one word at all, it's infuriating! I don't know what to do with that girl! She's pathetic.
ReplyDeleteMr. Freeman.
ReplyDeleteOh my on my way home today i saw Melinda freezing in the cold. So i offered her a ride. I know as a teacher we are not supposed be alone with a student, let alone give them a ride. But she is such a sweet girl and i just felt so bad for her. Her ears were about to fall off. I really hope she doesn't think I'm creepy or anything. I do not want to get in trouble
Melinda's mom
ReplyDeleteLike i told you before, Melinda is crazy. She wont talk. WHAT EVER... thats her choice, and if she doesnt want to talk thats fine. I have given up trying. I want my old Melinda back, the one that was cheerful and happy all the time. I want to ask her whats wrong but i am afaird. Maybe something happened between her and Rachel. There was this one summer night where she was supposed to be sleeping over Rachel's house, and the next morning she was at home.
My daughter really is crazy...
ahhh!
Melinda's Mom:
ReplyDeleteMELINDA IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!! Why won't she talk? She just sits there siilent. AHHHHH!!!!! Then when we were in the meeting she starts laughing. What is wrong with her? SHE NEEDS HELP!!!
What am I to do????
(sorry it was late it wasn't working yesterday)
Guidence Counsler:
ReplyDeleteThese parents need some help with their marrige. And also, how could one be so oblivious to their child's struggles! This whole family needs help...
Principal Principal: I finally can get this girl to talk. We can finally find out why she is such a bad student. She will finally tell us what is bugging her. I can't wait
ReplyDeleteMr. Freeman: (While driving after he drops off Melinda) Hmmm that went well. I wish though, maybe next time she will open up more on as to why she doesn't speak. There is something going on in her mind. (Mr. Freeman starts to picture the turkey scuplture, the tree scuplture, and all of Melinda's other works)
